Welcome to Melanie Wright Creates — a home for care, creativity, and community.
Here, every offering flows from one simple truth: Melanie is a caregiver first, business owner second, based in Philadelphia, PA and serving surrounding counties. Whether nurturing children, guiding families through birth, creating art-filled gatherings, or crafting candles rooted in intention and rest, each space is built with compassion, patience, and deep respect for the human journey. This is where support is sacred, creativity is healing, and every person is welcomed with warmth, dignity, and care.

Mission Statement
Melanie strives to care for people across every season of life through compassionate service, creative expression, and community advocacy—creating spaces that feel safe, empowering, and deeply human.
Vision Statement
Melanie envisions a world where families feel supported, survivors feel seen, creativity is accessible to all, and care is woven into everyday life—one person, one family, and one community at a time.

Melanie Wright is a caregiver, creative, and community advocate whose life’s work is rooted in nurturing, empowerment, and meaningful connection. Across caregiving, creative entrepreneurship, and nonprofit leadership, her work is guided by compassion, intention, and a deep commitment to care.
Her work begins at the very start of life. As the founder of BirthWright Collective, Melanie supports families through pregnancy and birth with calm presence, education, advocacy, and deep respect for the sacredness of this transition. She walks beside families as life begins, holding space with dignity, gentleness, and care.
That care continues into early childhood. Melanie is the owner of The Wright Learning Center, a daycare program dedicated to early childhood development and to creating safe, enriching environments where children are nurtured, supported, and encouraged to grow at their own pace.
When harm occurs, Melanie’s work turns toward protection and advocacy. She serves as the Board President of Purple House Project PA, a nonprofit organization providing resources, education, and survivor-centered advocacy for individuals impacted by domestic violence. Her leadership is guided by a trauma-informed approach and a deep belief that everyone deserves safety, respect, and the opportunity to heal.
Creativity is another essential thread woven through Melanie’s life and work. She is the founder of Artistic Vibez, a traveling art instruction business that brings accessible, joy-filled creative experiences into homes, schools, and community spaces. She is also the maker behind Mel the Maker, a handcrafted candle brand rooted in warmth, calm, and intentional living.
At the heart of everything she does is a simple truth:
Melanie creates support, art, and sacred spaces.
Whether she is supporting families through birth, nurturing young children, advocating for survivors, teaching art, or crafting candles, her purpose remains the same — to care deeply, inspire healing, and build community through compassion and creativity.
This website serves as a unified home for all of Melanie’s work, bringing together her caregiving services, creative offerings, and advocacy efforts into one connected vision. No matter how you arrive here, you are welcome, you are valued, and you are invited into a space built on care, creativity, and community.
Explore Melanie's Work
Each of Melanie’s ventures is a reflection of her heart for care, creativity, and community. While each offering serves a different need, they are all rooted in the same purpose: to support, uplift, and nurture people through every season of life.
BirthWright Collective reflects Melanie’s calling to walk alongside families during one of life’s most sacred and transformative journeys. As a doula, she offers emotional support, education, advocacy, and steady presence throughout pregnancy and birth. Though her doula practice is growing, her commitment to learning, listening, and honoring each family’s birth story is unwavering.
The Wright Learning Center was born from Melanie’s deep belief that children thrive best in environments filled with safety, patience, and encouragement. As a daycare provider, Melanie creates nurturing, structured spaces where young children can grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually. Her approach blends routine with warmth, play with purpose, and education with genuine care for each child’s unique personality and needs.
As Board President of Purple House Project PA, Melanie leads with a survivor-centered, trauma-informed approach grounded in dignity and compassion. This nonprofit exists to support survivors of domestic violence through advocacy, resources, and community education. Melanie’s leadership reflects her belief that healing is possible and that every person deserves safety, respect, and the opportunity to rebuild their life.
Artistic Vibez was created from Melanie’s love of art and her desire to make creativity accessible to everyone. As a traveling art instructor, she brings engaging, hands-on art experiences into homes, schools, and community spaces. Her sessions are about more than painting or crafting—they are about expression, confidence-building, stress relief, and joyful connection through creativity.
Mel the Maker is Melanie’s way of offering comfort in tangible form. Each candle is handcrafted with intention, inspired by warmth, calm, and everyday self-care rituals. What began as a creative outlet grew into a small business rooted in the belief that simple things—like a softly glowing candle—can bring peace, grounding, and a sense of home.
No matter which path brings you here—childcare, birth support, creative expression, advocacy, or handmade goods—you are welcome in this space. Melanie’s work is united by one purpose: to care deeply, create intentionally, and serve wholeheartedly.
Closing Mantra
Care first.
Create gently.
All welcome.
