Strength emerges • Voices uplifted • Healing honored

A Welcome

Purple House Project PA holds a sacred place within Melanie Wright Creates — a space devoted to advocacy, healing, and the belief that every survivor deserves safety, dignity, and the opportunity to heal.

While this organization is not owned by Melanie Wright, it is deeply woven into her life’s work and calling.

Melanie serves with honor as Board President of Purple House Project PA, a role she stepped into in July 2025 after four years of devoted service on the Purple Path Committee.

This page exists to honor that partnership, uplift the mission of Purple House Project PA, and gently guide you toward the life‑changing work led by this organization.

Our Mission

Strengthen. Empower. Transition.

Purple House Project PA exists to strengthen, empower, and transition women impacted by intimate partner violence through connection to essential resources that support healing, restoration, and long‑term stability.

Our Vision

Purple House Project PA envisions a world where all women impacted by intimate partner violence have access — without barriers — to holistic resources that are essential in the healing process.

A world where survivors are seen, supported, and surrounded by care.

Melanie's Role & Heart for this Work

Melanie’s connection to Purple House Project PA is guided by deep respect, shared purpose, and a belief in leadership rooted in service.

In July 2025, she was honored to become Board President, affectionately known as Madame President, continuing a journey that began years earlier on the Purple Path Committee — the team behind Purple Path, the annual Domestic Violence Awareness Walk held each October.

She believes deeply in the vision and leadership of Christine Joy Brunson, Founder & Executive Director, and in the sacred work this organization carries forward.

Leadership without ownership. Advocacy without ego. Service without spotlight.

In her role, Melanie is devoted to:

  • Streamlining and supporting community events

  • Uplifting survivors and families

  • Strengthening partnerships and outreach

  • Bringing compassion, organization, and advocacy into every space

Her leadership is survivor‑centered, trauma‑informed, and guided by one simple truth: healing happens best in community.
